Services & Rates:
We know how much everyone hates surprises that result in having to pay more money than you thought you would originally have to pay. For that reason, we developed this policy letter that explains all of our fees and policies so your buying experience has "no surprises".
Discounts:
Seniors and StuCoRe PC owners enjoy 15% off any service. Just let us know at the beginning of the service that you qualify.
Fee Policy (On-site):
- Server - $50/Hour Scheduled, $75/Hour Immediate (minimum 1 hour)
- Commercial - $40/Hour Scheduled, $50/Hour Same-Day, $60/Hour Immediate (minimum 1 hour)
- Not-For-Profit Agencies - $35/Hour scheduled, $45/Hour Same Day, $60/Hour Immediate (minimum 1 hour)
- Residential - $32/Hour Scheduled, $40/Hour Next-Day, $48/Hour Same-Day, $60/Hour Immediate (minimum 1 hour)
Mileage: $0.505/mile (always reflects current Federal mileage rate); no mileage in city limits
Special Note: Immediate on-site service is never covered under any warranty or maintenance contract and it is never discounted.
Fee Policy (In-shop):
- Computer Diagnosis - $20.00
- Simple Service (i.e. single hardware or software installation) - $20.00
- Data Recovery - $40.00 per hard drive or optical disk.
- Media Costs (after first disk) - $0.50/CD, $1.00/DVD
- Computer Refurbishment (software only) - $80.00 (includes computer diagnosis fee) No data backup or recovery needed? Take $10.00 off.
- New Computer – specific warranty service included in price of computer; maintenance available
- Special or Unique Services (not covered by other services) - $40/Hour
Payment Policy:
- New Computers – 60% prepaid
- Computer Refurbishment – 100% upon receipt
- General Service – 100% upon receipt
- Special order parts – 60% prepaid
Return Policy:
- New Computers – no returns, 3 Year Parts & Labor (up to two hours of on-site service included; extra time is billed at $32/hour in a residential setting, or $40/hour in a commercial setting)
- New Parts – 15 Day Refund, 1 Year Exchange or Repair
- Used Parts – 15 Days Refund, Exchange, or Repair
- Special Order Parts – no returns, 1 Year Exchange or Repair
Warranty Policy:
New Computers are covered against the following defects: hardware failure, virus/spyware infection (assuming you have purchased and are using up-to-date ACSI-certified security software such as AVG Antivirus), general Operating System issues, and/or peripherals included with your original PC purchase or additional peripherals purchased from StuCoRe.
New Computers are NOT covered against the following problems: general software applications (unless purchased with your StuCoRe PC), peripherals (unless purchased with your StuCoRe PC), speed (there are some exceptions, in the case of a virus for example), or tutoring.
Maintenance Contracts are available for those who wish additional coverage
against non-warranty related problems.
